Bar J Ranch FAQ sheet

Here are some frequently asked questions about weddings at the Bar J Ranch. Bar J brings the big guns to execute your best day ever. Just ask us, we'll tell you all the things you need to know!




  • What is your maximum capacity? Our indoor capacity for our air-conditioned space is 120. We have an outside lit courtyard that also makes a beautiful event space addition. We can add tables and chairs outside for additional guests.

  • Is your event space air conditioned? YES! Our event space is air conditioned. Both of our getting ready suites are air conditioned as well. 

  • Do you have a preferred vendor list? We do have a preferred vendor list. Our premier vendors accept payments through Bar J Ranch with our inclusive package. These vendors are all hand selected and work well together to ensure a flawless day.

  • Can you bring your own vendors? Yes, you absolutely can! They will need to be a legitimate business and have liability insurance. They will also need to come tour Bar J before your event date to ensure they are familiar with our space to provide you with the best experience possible. 

  • How do payments work? You can opt to pay in full or we accept monthly payments with a card on file. We do not charge interest or additional fees. If you choose to make a lump payment towards your balance, we will adjust your payment down to a more comfortable amount based on your amount paid in. 

  • What is required to book my date? A 10% non-refundable retainer and a contract for your date. The 10% down comes off of your balance due. 

  • What are the rental hours? For full day rentals, you gain access to the venue at 8am and time expires 4 hours post ceremony time or 11pm, whichever comes first. On a micro or custom designed rental, the hours will vary based on selection. 

  • Is there a rehearsal or rehearsal dinner option? Yes, there is a 1 hour, guided rehearsal the night before your wedding. We do NOT offer a rehearsal dinner option because the barn is already set for your event upon your arrival for your guided rehearsal. 

  • Are decorations provided? Yes, yes, yes! Every full rental includes full formal decor for both ceremony and reception. We also have toasting glasses for the bride and groom, ring bearer boxes, flower girl baskets, and cake cutting sets. We also have various signage. If you're looking for something, ask us! 

  • How is decor chosen? You send us a Pinterest board or take screenshots of your inspiration and we recreate it using items from our on-site decor company. We have an expansive supply of fabulous decor.
